You're right that things could do with being mixed up, but at the same time I'm just happy that they're still doing the event with scare mazes, bare in mind how family friendly Loopings want to be.
I actually felt like there were a lot more decorations around the park this year, the spider was new as was the Hob figure on the front of the train. I also liked the spooky music that was dotted around the park.
Yesterday started very wet but there was still a good few people in the park, it obviously then got a lot busier in the afternoon.
I studied the Carousel and only spotted two freshly painted horses. They looked good though, really detailed with pupils in their eyes and different shades of hair colour. Will look good when all done (whenever that will be)
I drove into the car park around 15.30 after we changed our plans for the day, wasn't that busy as people had parked close to the bottom to get out on time. Was a good display in the dry at home to watch.
This week I went to the Chills. As always a really great day and all but Egg-Press working (announced by park before so not a
surprise). All was great, I didn’t experience the scare mazes as was with younger children but from what I saw I must say that it did look the same as previous years. It may not have been but no-one was coming off of the train one with anything more than a sweat. That being said it’s great that they have kept the attractions of previous years and something for the older kids. On a negative side I must say that nothing is actually different from previous years. Same decorations (mummy, spider) and pumpkins dotted around. Creepy cave was great and in a much better location that previously. (Old Hobs Pit shop) and actually looked really good.
MM did break down during the day with a stick rider but didn’t last long was up and running within the hour.
all in all, I will always enjoy The Chills but is it time they mixed things up? I think so.
Pirate ship is closed along with snake.......confirmed by friends on site today. Also its very quiet there today, I do hope tomorrow will be busy for the last day.
Imagine if cannonball was shut too like we all thought it may have been.
Dissapointing to also see wipeout closing at 16.30, some 90 minutes before the fireworks. Its been open much later before in the past.
Some things closing as early as 16 00. Its a long time with kids to be just hanging around waiting with a disco, people want rides in the dark or at the very least at dusk.
Previously we have had rides close as late as 17.45, which was great.
Yes I know its only one day a year yet Some hired in lighting is not difficult to do and even Drayton have done the odd few late nights, so the effort has been made within the group.

Final day looking like a wash out until into the afternoon, not good.
Sorry guys trying to add some photos but not working well.
