As I said time will tell what happens when the park reopens in just over a weeks time... I would like to think it was just a oversight. I am sure it was
My mate sent me this picture yesterday from the park whilst he was delivering something to the park (unfortunately he wasn’t delivering any new ride(s) lol
There are much more needed areas needing paint and sorting than that toilet block, the staff building for one and the roof, that's before we get inside the park....
Yet good the filthy greased stained faded supports are being repainted. I saw the new track paint from the road yesterday
New Experience is just the new marketing slogan for refurbished and i don't have an issue with that, it highlights that they've been doing things, and it should look cool with a shark head attached to the front. And it looks like MM is be back as well.
So we now have a new bird enclosure being built it seems next to the parrots, I assume this is so the birds can be on show all the time and not just during 'show time'
I’ve always thought that moving the parrots into the castle would suit the park better and then use the current building as a restaurant themed to fit in with wipeout but with the current cost of living people are taking there own lunches
Well with wipeout given a new life and MM returning it’s gonna be great to have 2 freshly looking coasters, with Pleasurebeach only bringing in a new kids ride I think we will have a good summer, I’m really hoping they will fill in the old tt site now and hopefully remove the old dive show, I noticed on the drone vid that there were some seats from what looked like the dive show behind the arcade building so hopefully it’s being worked on
Well considering that the log flume still hasn't been finished paint wise or theme wise I would be shocked to see the supports done... you'd certainly hope they would...
Very odd how they haven’t painted where the tracks join up together, if you zoom in you can see, I wonder if they will paint the supports a darker shade if not black to hide the grease marks
Well the "replacement train" that was installed originally after they didn't use the original one I always found quite comfy yet was a head banger.
The restraints would not auto release however so hopefully a new one will resolve this and it will be a much smoother ride overall I feel time will tell.
This will actually be bran new however and not second hand like the 2nd train was
Nothing necessarily wrong with it, but I did reallt dislike that moulded lump thing that stuck out on the seats (in between your legs), as I'm tall it was quite it painful for me as my legs were forced against it. So I'm happy they're gone lol
The summer circus has been confirmed as returning for the summer, whilst there’s a lot of cutbacks over at Marlin it’s good to see that we will be continuing to have additional offerings, can’t help but think though that something different like a show in the castle would have been better.
The worst thing about that is that Aspro knew what they were doing. They had owned Oakwood since 2008, and hardly invested any money into the park. It was a drab and depressing park to visit.
Whilst it is similar to how Loopings are being with PWH, at least they are investing money on improving the current ride line up. PWH is full of colour and vibrancy, and definitely doesn't have that same depressing feel that Oakwood did.
I just pray that something good can happen with Megafobia.
I will agree with you to a extent mate yes. Odd that megaphobia had that work done and now I expect it will be demolished.
Speed would work at the hills yet I understand most rides are going to sister parks.
Totally agree loopings ARE investing on current line up yet as I consistently say no one will notice this or give a rats ! Only NEW stuff will save hills.
With just over 4 weeks to go can you really see wipeout being ready in time ? I doubt it, needs to be finished painting and that's without testing of the new train.
MM I also highly doubt won't be ready for season start along with drop tower.
It’s going to be great to have both MM and wipeout freshly painted up for hopefully the summer season at the latest, can’t help but think that both JR and waveswinger should have been prioritised this winter, the panels on the waveswinger as you walk into the park look terrible not to forget all the bulbs that they’ve removed, I preferd jolly when it had its light blue shade. wipeout was originally given a new train when it first arrived, 2 new trains whilst wipeouts been here and a big fat 0 for CE surley it’s the next big attraction to get the boot, I wonder if the fresh up of the other coasters is in line with it potentially facing the boot
I wonder what the issue is with MM? It looks finished other then the tunnel that was supposed to sit above the station I’m assuming that’s not going to happen now,
The park obviously doesn’t want to spend on Cannonball with it being an old ride and parts being expensive. I remember hearing some of the waveswingers panels fell of the ferry when coming in from Australia
MM isn't finished at all !! You can clearly see from the recent drone video I posted that half the que line was still in bits, the cars are on the track covered up yet I wouldn't hold your breath for that open till main season, I expect drop tower and wipeout to also open later in season, as for waveswinger it's another left to rot plot
Awful to read yet can't be anything less than expected... I have said for how long now has that place actually made any cash...
No investment ( other than paint brushes ), large parts abandoned and in a horrific mess for all to see plus the car park scandal that made national news , that hit hard ( and yes that's despite signs being up )
Yet I expect more people visited before loopings have allowed the place to literally rot and become SBNO, as Eddie says and the wider public nothing is being added so what is there to go visit for?
The ride rater article has now reached lowestoft journal news, perhaps someone somewhere will wake up
Oh definitely the lack off, you can do the park in less than 60 mins, rides removed , former show buildings converted into something else, other units and shops and show buildings all SBNO, and remember when I bumped into a former member of management ( very high up ) who literally said "they won't invest"
The only time this forum is used now is for when a news story is created like the car park scandal ( which cost them dearly last year and will this year ) and now this latest ride ratee article.
😭 18 years, that means it's 17 years since i was working at the part painting all the rides but what's upsetting is that brings back memories of that time when i was in my 20s, enjoying life, plenty of future ahead and my family was still alive and today that's almost all gone. Not sure if even i'll still be around in another 18 years, yikes.
I've got this feeling that we're going to see a new a train for Wipeout, as you can see from the pictures this isn't just a repaint. They've removed all the brakes from the station, they could have been left on and painted around, so they're obviously refurbishing the mechanics of the ride too.
Speed Snake FREE at Fort Fun and Balagos at Hellendoorn are both old Vekoma looping coasters that have been refurbished in recent years and both recieved brand new lap bar trains by SunKid. (And both parks are obviously owned by Loopings).
And they've mentioned about it becoming "Wipeout 2.0", so something is definitely changing with the experience. And my money is on the train.
Yeah looks good yet won't bring people into the gates...
Also very interesting to note not only from the video I posted that MM isn't finished..and the parks comments online indicate it won't be open anytime soon....
The park have shared some photos on the progress of Wipeouts refurb!
Interestingly, if you look at the photo booth on the first picture, it looks like its going to have some new cladding added on top of the current design. I always thought the photo booth looked smart, so I hope they do actually good job with it!
Anyone know the likelihood of Wipeout and Marble Madness being open in Easter? I’m looking at visiting the park and would need to book accommodation…
Looks like there now on to Painting the area round the ride looks like it will complement the birds of paradise as well.
My mate sent me this picture yesterday from the park whilst he was delivering something to the park (unfortunately he wasn’t delivering any new ride(s) lol
Look like the supports are also getting painted
Looks like Wipeout is now going to be shark themed!

Track colour appears to be slightly darker now, and so far nothing has happened to the supports (that weighed can see anyway)
Confirmation new train for wipeout with lap bar restraints it seems, let's just hope it will automatically release riders at the end of the ride...
Going to be very interesting to see what is available on opening weekend.....
The summer circus has been confirmed as returning for the summer, whilst there’s a lot of cutbacks over at Marlin it’s good to see that we will be continuing to have additional offerings, can’t help but think though that something different like a show in the castle would have been better.
With oakwood now announcing their closure after years of neglect and limited investment..
the future for PWH remains incredibly on a wire....
PWH has been mentioned on several different platforms this evening in relation to this news which is another blow to the industry in the UK..
Loopings take note..
It's great to see that it's going to have a new train, presumably with just lap bars too!
Also good to see them confirm that Marble Madness will reopen this year, and hopefully for the start of the season too.

Seems the new train for wipeout arrived this afternoon
With marble madness not open for season start, I've my doubts wipeout will be either
I do love one of the comments, "a lorry load of paint "
And so it goes on... note the comment on passes..
I mean you'd think until it's actually open for the paying public the camera would be switched off perhaps...
Not even open yet and second bit of bad press this week
So as drayton manor remove the need for annual pass holders to pre book, pwh introduce pre booking at all times...
Saw this yesterday regarding oakwood theme park and its exactly the same here ..
Meanwhile...
