Can anyone remember that year when 2 new coasters were announced? A custom Vekoma SLC and a Vekoma RollerSkater. They obvs never happened and the park got sold instead. As always I can find zero trace of this evening happening anywhere on the web, but I could have sworn we had something on the old website? Am I right, or just going stir crazy from being at home every day?!

This is amazing to see. I was quite a keen online coaster enthusiast from roughly 1999-2009 and, for various reasons, just became bored with it. I think I have a very, very vague recollection of these rides being planned, but otherwise I had completely forgotten about them. It's a shame, because even to this day, an up-to-date Vekoma junior coaster and a suspended coaster (Family Suspended, I think) would greatly benefit the park.
Maybe the intention was to remove the portable coasters once they had the new ones built?
God knows where I got the whole 2 inversions from them, although I could have sworn that's what I definitely saw. I'm glad this never happened actually, it's weird that they go and buy 2 brand new coasters like that, when the park already had 2 family coasters in the Rattlesnake and Cannonball. Buying a kiddie and thrill coaster would have made more sense.
i found my old post on the old forum:
”During the show the sale of another Junior Coaster with 335 meters of track and a Family Suspended ride, both to Pleasurewood Hills in the UK, have be announced. The Family Suspended Coaster is the first installation of this kind in Europe (there are rides for example at Paramount´s in the US), offering a track length of 342 meters.”

Interesting that the leaflet has pictures of a family suspended coaster instead of the SLC model that RCDB stated it would be. Weird that it's one thing I will never forget, seeing 2 new coasters listed on RCDB, with one being an SLC with 2 inversions, a side winder and a corkscrew! I wonder if anyone from Vekoma would have any details?
I just found this email from Terry Nunn from 11 years ago (can not believe so long ago).
Wow, I have never seen that before! Thanks Matt. I remember back in the old forum days that I did find an article somewhere in the web that stated the PWH had just bought 2 brand new coasters. I can’t see if they marked them on that map but where were they going to go?
Found it!
Here we have a mock-up, which was given to us by Pleasurewood Hills:
You are right. Somewhere buried deep I think I have a leaflet (or possibly a draft leaflet) from around that time with s couple of stock images on it. I will do some digging.
