I am pleased to report that despite the static train not being tarted up at all, some nice bark has been added along the remains of what was hyper drive, parrot show signage still in place and Marble Madness remains closed.

The Carousel is also getting a much needed spruce this closed season. There can't be many rides left that actually need a refurb now - just Cannonball and Jolly Roger.
Seems ANOTHER trespass incident involving the missile...
I believe this was filmed early doors 23rd or 24th dec
There is a video too it seems yet unable to find it
Video found. Drunk, access was gained via the already damaged public footpath fence that's been bad for years, well and truly squashed now

So all will be revealed it seems in 2025... I've attached the screenshots to my earlier post this week... cant deny anything written.
Imagine the comments when the park reopens in April after nearly 5 months closed with just another repainted ride... dear oh dear....
plus look out for a new on ride photo opportunity and a new photo company it seems
updated ...
Seems the missile has had a jet wash... will paint follow?....
I'm liking what I'm reading here
As always, this is great to see. The area around Wipeout had become a bit tired many years ago.
I'm surprised to see all that wood getting removed though, it looked in good condition despite its age.
Looks like wipeout MAY be getting a lick of paint or a general tidy up... photos show fences removed under the station and behind it too...
Could we get a repaint..we shall see.. whilst this will be most welcome to see, cannonball also says hi which is in a far worse state and also new rides and attractions as ever strongly say hello and let me in...
You'd hope any refurb will be ready for April unlike MM which has sat a year SBNO
So I see their latest post advertising season passes as a Christmas gift just brings up the same stuff... they need to stop comments being allowed on posts...
Flambards are selling off their rides. A couple of decent flats that could add to PWH - ideal Rocking Tug, Frisbee and Drop Tower amongst others. The Wasp coaster is even for sale which I thought was beyond repair.
So the same old comments on any post they put up officially... whilst nothing would be announced in a comment like that I highly doubt anything new will arrive next year...
This is their standard paste and copy response too to say it's ongoing with such poor refurbishments of some things ( log flume ) and the utter dire state of most of the park that's really bad commenting !
Also worth noting their most interacting post was about free pumpkins in recent weeks, hardly a peep for chills or fireworks...
Kinda says it all too !
Just saw on Facebook that the park are giving the elephants are refresh for next year.
I've been trying hard to decide how to write the trip report up, yet there is no easy way round to say how shocking the park is looking, yes we have seen endless reviews on this yet you have to see it to believe it almost the park over now.
I will start with the good, the two scare mazes were as ever very good and definitely worth the £4 each per maze, what was also good was the next to no ques for anything, yet it really should not be like this. The sealion show was as ever very good and the parrot show was indeed back too with new birds. Giddy up also looked good too. And the fireworks were as ever too very good.
For the bad well I will try not to go over old ground yet obviously MM out all year, something went wrong with the rebuild I say/contractors as there is still some scaffolding up at lower levels and no sign of any work for a while.
The log flume was good fun as ever yet the paint job which has faded away around most of the wooden shed has been repainted in just one tiny area, then it has just been left ? A pot hole greets you as you get off the actual ride and then a uneven path too that's without the large water leak that has been going on for well over a season...
Jolly Roger had the seats removed, it stopped running half way through the half term week. The operator booth has peeling paint yet the actual tower in brown looks okay still.
Cannonball, jesus lord... yet still is a unique ride and good g's on it.
Pirate ship was very juddery yet remains a much better swing yet the base of the ride it's sitting in looks horrendous!
Tidal wave, the top platform had energy drink cans and water bottles discarded at the operators feet... then the unused photo booth and both supports that use to hold the cameras up, still there !
Dive show actual pool, still there yet it's been nipped in half and is just sitting there...plus other rubbish...again unfinished job...
The castle poor old thing, the rear has all peeling paint on it, the front weedy and very abandoned looking, even still has wooden posts in the ground that use to have signs on !
Wipeout didn't feel too bad yet what's with the weed infested abandoned broken que line ?! Also the photo booth was shut until the early afternoon?!
The lake still with the former ride you use to have on the lake still there!!! Along with the weed filled former que line...
Egg spress now starting to look a little unkept too, needs a jet wash and yep the rattlesnake tunnel part still attached to the frame work !!!
The mini railway only had 3 carriages on and the station building now SBNO for a few years still says "something new is coming" ... yeah great..when ?
Large railway had the station closest to the main entrance closed..no idea why.
The refreshed toilet block by pirate ship had the male sign lost or missing from the outside, out of the 3 new taps one didn't work and the other 2 were loose and twisted round.
Waveswinger also quite tatty now, broken or missing bulbs and needs a good wash/scrub in places.
What was also so noticeable was just how quiet it was... you will see a photo taken of main street at 14.30pm..there wasn't a single person to be seen....
The music for the build up to the fireworks was not exactly great, a blast of a Christmas song mixed with the inevitable ABBA we decided to go stand in the car park away from that, bring back the radio broadland roadshow ( if only ! )
I've no doubt they have had a bruising year of complaints on so many levels , I mean it even made the national news at one stage, I just pray and hope that they actually walk round the entire site and make a check list... it truly looks absolutely mortifying in places
We have just lost another UK park this week due to lack of investment which led to it being derelict in places....really hope we can make it through and that investment is actually going to happen here before it's too late....
The state it's in is not welcoming at all
Please make it happen loopings, please save this once golden park
Excellent fireworks display to close the season.
Quite why folk have to stand around and wait for a hour in the dark before they actually set them off is bizarre and not nessecsary.
£4 each per horror maze well worth it, Excellent as always.
Overall very quiet for what was good weather, it picked up a little In the afternoon yet it really was very quiet for what was always such a busy super event that was held for a few years 2 days in a row ( drayton does 2 )
Some areas, infact a lot look absolutely shocking and it's not being me dramatic, a friend I was with hadn't been for almost 15 years was visibly shocked by some of what he saw.
I've taken a load of photos all bar one from areas all paying public could see. Will upload probably tomorrow.
I really hope loopings spend some cash this closed season, it's heartbreaking to see how it is.
2024 over and out
Nice to see someone checked this before uploading !
In the hand written stuff there is no mention of MM yet it's on the main "poster" that most will look straight at...it's a exact copy of last year's be it the date change
It's still very light at 4pm ( was today ) absolutely no need for these mad times. ( others have said same on some blogs )
Particularly wipeout that's half lit up, crikey it use to run till nearly 17.30 once upon a time on fireworks !
At least mazes stay open till 17.00 that's something I suppose
Meanwhile the two types of passes are a bit daft, the standard one excludes certain dates... what a ridiculous thing to do... yes I'm well aware merlin do this too yet PWH gets very little footfall and is only open weekends and kids holidays anyway so this is yet another slap in the face for people along with the car park charge !
Honestly what the hell do loopings and corton actually think and do...
two screen shots attached
Website shows £5 for pass holders to pre book for fireworks so is £6 the 2025 charge ?
This is a fair comment...
If the website is correct, along with marble madness, both jolly Roger and egg express are unavailable. Add that to the sbno parrots that's a miserable line up for the end of half term
I have to say, the refurbished toilets by the Pirate Ship are looking absolutely fantastic!
Appreciate half term is later this year and the clocks have changed yet to announce today that 3 of the only real attractions we have left may close early due to "light" is poor, with no MM either...
Now I wouldn't expect them to install permanent lighting as there would be no benefit due to the seasonal hours yet they could have easily hired in lights just like merlin attractions do... people actually want to ride in the dusk and dark....
£76 for the Premium Season pass for 2025 seems to be excellent value. Entry all year, parking, drinks cup, 20% food and shops, and 50% tickets for friends/family!
In other Loopings park news, Isla Magica in Spain are getting a brand new wooden coaster for 2025. Only the second brand new coaster Loopings have ever installed in a park, after Gold Rush at Drayton Manor.
